What to Test (2026-07-13)
Build Focus: Introduces Trip Pause, one-tap Round Trips with a duration prompt, and a cluster of trip-creation fixes.
This build adds TRIP PAUSE and smarter ROUND TRIPS, plus fixes to how trips home get their time and location.
TRIP PAUSE (new — please hammer this one)
- During any trip, choose PAUSE 1 HOUR wherever you can extend (the check-in screen, the extend sheet, or a deadline notification)
- Your deadline moves out an hour and the widget shows Paused
- Let a pause RUN OUT without touching the app → you should get the normal check-in countdown and then the alert flow — never a silently ended trip
- Premium: your emergency contact timing follows the pause too
ROUND TRIP — ONE TAP, OUT AND BACK
- Tap the Round Trip tile → pick how long you’ll be (30 m / 1 h / 2 h / 4 h or dial your own) → Start
- The button says “Getting your location…” until the phone has a FRESH fix — the trip must anchor to where you ARE, not where you last had signal
- Try it right after driving somewhere: the return point should be your real starting spot
- Trips are capped at 24 hours — for longer adventures, start a new trip
TRIP HOME — NOW ALWAYS ONE-WAY WITH A REAL ETA
- Tap Trip Home (or pick Home inside the new-trip screen) → it’s a ONE-WAY trip and the arrival time comes from the actual travel time — watch the caption under the time pickers say where the suggestion came from
- Set a time by hand, then wait a few seconds → your time must NOT get replaced by the suggestion
- Arriving at home should COMPLETE the trip (no lingering countdown afterwards!)
- Just finished a trip somewhere else? Start a Trip Home right after — the drive time should be from where you are now, not from where that last trip ended
NEW TRIP SCREEN — REORDERED
Destination first (with Home & Favorites quick picks), then Round Trip / One Way, then travel mode, and the arrival time appears LAST — only once there’s something to base it on.
